Mary Janell Trapp, 76, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Turner and Rev. Doug Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Trapp, the daughter of Hubert Thompson and Ludie Phelps Thompson, was born March 26, 1942, in New Boston, TX.
In her younger years she worked at a physical therapy clinic and later at Paris Air Conditioning and Reddy Ice.
Janell was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Thompson, her mother & dad, Ludie & Cleve Hatcher, and a brother, Rodney Hatcher.
Survivors include her husband, John L. Trapp, two children, Shawn Miears & wife Kandy of Paris and Casey Miears of Paris, grandchildren, Christian Miears, Ashlyn Miears and Aaron Miears all of Paris, a sister, Brenda Farmer & husband Pete of Powderly, two nieces, Jana Uselton & husband Tim of The Colony and Ashley Norwood & husband Spur of Mt. Vernon along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Caleb Peek, Mark Boswell, Jr., Christian Miears, Aaron Miears, Spur Norwood and Aaron Peek. Honorary bearers will be: Daniel Brackeen and David Wayne Phelps.
