Mary Frances Merrell, 82, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at Stillhouse Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
The family has scheduled memorial services for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29th, at Graham Street Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Collins and Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Merrell, the daughter of Rev. Thomas F. Pretre and Eva Aline Ammons Pretre, was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Paris.
Her career at Frist Baptist Church, Paris spanned more than thirty years before her retirement. She was a member of Graham Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Merrell, whom she married on June 17, 1955, building sixty-three years of family and memories, two children, Mary Ann Gowen and Tommy Merrell & wife Gina, two grandchildren, Eva Lee Gowen and Josh Merrell, a brother, Don Pretre & wife Letha, an aunt, Frances Baety along with a host of friends.
