Martha Fay Parker of Paris, Texas passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at the age of 77 on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Born on May 25, 1948, she was the youngest daughter of Emerson J. and Johnie Marian Morris. Martha was an adored mother, Nana, wife, and friend whose warm personality touched everyone she met.
She retired from Campbell Soup after many years of dedicated service in the transportation and logistics department. A true people-person, Martha was always smiling, eager to help others, and never met a stranger. Her faith was central to her life; she was a firm believer in Christ and a member of the Baptist faith, having given her life to the Lord many years ago. She loved to dance, music and travel, she and her husband Larry enjoyed retirement RV’ing and making memories together.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson J. and Johnie Morris; her stepmother, Mary Pullins and her husband George; her sisters Carolyn Bowden, Karla Miller, Terrie Morris, and Linda Morris; as well as her nephew Tony Wilkins.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Parker; her only daughter, Nikki McClellan, and her husband John; her grandchildren, EmaLee White, Easton White and wife Kaley, Erin Funderburk and husband Dylan, and her first great- grandchild, Walker Fay Funderburk, her namesake; sisters Margaret Ann Fair and husband Max, Sherry Moss and husband Derek. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who will cherish her memory forever.
A visitation will be held at Bright-Holland Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a chapel service at 2:00 PM. A private burial at Evergreen Cemetery will take place afterward with her immediate family. Pallbearers will be John McClellan, Easton White, Dylan Funderburk, Mitchell White, Jerry Springer, and David Poole.
The family owes a special thanks and enormous gratitude to Spring Lake Memory Care Staff, The Plaza Memory Care Staff, Signature Hospice, Dr. Muthappa and her hospice nurse Lauren for caring for Martha during her journey. Martha’s loving spirit and kindness will be missed dearly but never forgotten. There is comfort knowing she is dancing around heaven with loved ones who went before her.
