Paris’ Annual Mannequin Night will haunt Downtown this weekend withers family-friendly theme, Comic, Cartoons and Storybooks. Mannequin Night in Downtown Paris is free for everyone to attend.
“We are getting excited about this year’s event. We are working to make it the best Mannequin Night ever.”
Streets downtown will be closed from 5-9 p.m., and for trucks will line the streets, while live music fills the air. During theMannequin Night, volunteers will be dressed in costumes and pose mannequin-like.
Live music, featuring The Michael O’Neal Band and The Rhythmaddicts, will kick off at 6:15 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
Music line up on the Plaza:
- The Michael O’Neal Band – 6:15-7:15 p.m.
- The Rhythmaddicts – 7:30-9 p.m.
The movie, “Hocus Pocus” will be shown on 1st Street, between Lamar and Clarksville.
“Live” mannequins will be posed in Downtown Paris from 6-8:30 p.m., and a kid-friendly Zombie Walk will kick off at 6 p.m. near Revive Dance & Performing Arts studio. No need to sign up for the Zombie Walk, just show up between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. at SoHo.
The Zombie Walk will travel from SoHo, up Lamar Ave. around the Plaza and end at Jaxx Burgers.
Tickets for the Historic Ghost Tour, a 30-minute downtown tour hosted by PJC’s Drama Department, are $15 and available at the Maxey House through Oct. 14. They will be dressed in period costume and relay historic information, including tales of ghosts in and around Downtown Paris. Tour participants will be picked up by the Paris Trolley at First United Methodist Church’s Splash Pad, transported to the Maxey House for more ghost tales, then back on the trolley and back to the splash pad. The proceeds from this tour will go to the Historic Maxey House.
