Luella Joan Grimes, 92, passed from this life on April 7, 2025. Joan was born August 12, 1932, in Oklahoma to Otto and Lennie Fenn Bishop. She was one of seven children, five brothers and two sisters.
On October 10, 1970, Joan married Charles Grimes. A marriage that lasted 39 years until his death in 2009.
Joan was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Paris where she participated in the rest home ministry. She was also known as the “Avon Lady” in and around Paris. Joan was predeceased by a step-son Richard Grimes, her parents, five brothers and her husband. Surviving Joan are two step daughters, Sharon Bell and Pam Tribble; three grandchildren Michael, Kyle and Joshua Tribble; her sister, Janice Burrows; sister-in-law Linda Bishop; and a special friend Gloria Reynolds.
Joan spent her last two years in the loving care of Paris Chalet. The family wants to thank Pam Tribble for her selfless service to Joan and her family over the last three years.
