Lori Fay King-Jenkins 58 of Greenville, Texas passed away February 2, 2023. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Sunday, February 5, 2023, and Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Rev. James Ralson officiating at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery, Biardstown, Texas.
Lori was born in Paris, Texas May 26, 1964, to Theo and Dolores King. Lori would meet the love of her life Bobby Jenkins May 6, 1983, in Greenville, Texas. After 34 years of dating, finally, they would wed September 8, 2016, at their favorite vacation spot in Breckenridge, Colorado. Lori graduated from Greenville Senior High School May 27, 1982. Lori worked several years for Mary of Puddin Hill, before she would find her true calling in the field of dentistry. Lori worked for Dr. Keith Kriegel DDS until his retirement at which time she would begin working for Dr. Juan Diaz DDS where she was employed at the time of her passing. Lori was the kindest soul who ever lived. She lived her life with such grace for everyone, never seeing anything negative in anyone, no matter the situation. She always brightened the room with her bubbly personality and beautifully bright smile. She was an extremely selfless woman who always thought of others first. Giving was Lori’s love language for sure. She was always finding a way to brighten someone day or whole world by a simple phone call, card or thoughtful gift. One word often described of Lori is Lover. When Lori Loves she loves big! She always seems to have such an unconditional love that flows through her to everyone she is around. When around her it is impossible to be in a bad mood, she was the person who would always get you through anything that you were going through. Lori was a confidant and very wonderful friend. Her wisdom is sought after by many and her legacy will go on forever by the impact that she had on this world.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Dolores King, and her father-in-law Lindell Jenkins.
Lori is survived by her loving husband Bobby Jenkins, mother-in-law; Glenna Jenkins, brother; Charlie King and wife Victoria, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy Jenkins and wife Debra, Junior Jenkins and wife Shannon, aunts; Gearldene Powell, and Thresea Shugart. Uncle; John Shugart and wife Diana. Nieces; Amy Gray and husband Doug, Kambra Bailey and husband Shane, Mayci, Harper, and Hadli King. Nephews; Bubba Jenkins and wife Marcey, Trent Jenkins and wife Kayleigh, and Hayden King.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jenkins, Junior Jenkins, Bubba Jenkins, Norman Ashford, Freddie Powell, and James Powell.
The family would like to thank Texas Oncology-Rockwall for the care given to Lori. And a special thank you to Dr. Juan Diaz for all the kindness to Lori during her time of need.
