Lola Mae Jackson, 96, of Paris, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 08, 2018.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Evers officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Jackson, the daughter of John Hillman and Velma Lou Pool Carter, was born March 20, 1922, in Whitewright.

Her career at Hollywood Vassarette spanned thirty years before her retirement. She went on to work in the cafeteria at Crockett School for a number of years. Lola was a member of Pathway Church of God and also attended Paris Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfes Lee Jackson, two brothers, James Alton Carter & John Hillman Carter, Jr. and three sisters, Jean Poteet, Clytee Seals and Delores Spann.

Survivors include numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Lola was an avid animal lover, thus the family requests that memorials be sent to the Lamar County Humane Association, P.O. Box 8, Paris, TX 75461
