Solara Vets-Paris is warning local pet owners of another parvovirus outbreak, the third outbreak this year, after three puppies tested positive in the past week.
Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease, especially in puppies and unvaccinated dogs. Early recognition and prompt treatment can save lives.
Common signs of Parvo include:
- Vomiting
- Severe diarrhea (often bloody)
- Loss of appetite
- Lethargy or weakness
- Fever or low body temperature
- Dehydration
If your puppy or dog develops any of these signs, seek veterinary care immediately.

If your dog has not received a parvovirus vaccine within the last 12 months, we encourage you to contact your primary care veterinarian to determine whether your pet is due for an update.
