Adoptions for Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop Thank A Police Officer Day will begin Aug. 12.
Each year, local officers are “adopted” by citizens to receive a gift to thank them for the service on National Thank A Police Officer Day on Sept. 21.
The non-profit organization has pre-selected gifts for adopted officers that they can use while on duty.
Officers can be adopted beginning Aug. 12 at 12 p.m. and a list of available officers will be posted on the Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop Facebook page – click here
