We are sad to announce that Larry Franklin Roberts, 76, of Roxton, Texas passed from this world to be with his Heavenly Father on December 6, 2022.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Rev. Chuey Potter officiating. Services are under the direction of the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home where online condolences may be sent by visiting www.fry-gibbs.com.
Larry was born June 14, 1946 in Paris, TX to Turner and Ruby Boley Roberts. He was a 1964 graduate of Roxton High School. He worked for General Dynamics in Ft. Worth before returning to Lamar County, eventually retiring from State Highway Department.
He married Carolyn Branum, August 4, 1972 and she survives him.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn and his son Steve Roberts of Roxton, grandchildren, Dillon Legates and wife, Stephanie of Forney and Preston Roberts of Roxton, sister, Wanda Compton of Paris, TX, aunt, Betty Wortham of Harrisburg, PA, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry could fix anything with working parts from a watch to a working machine. He loved working on cars and wood carving.
He will be missed!
