Lana LaRee Allison-Nelams, born October 16, 1967, passed away November 18, 2025 at her home in Paris.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
As her mother quoted, “My baby, Lana is at peace and resting. She’s with her daddy and lots of family.”
The loss, to her only daughter, Erika LaRee Nelams-Olivares is immeasurable, the two being two peas in a pod. Lana was a most humble and loving person, unkind to no one. Her compassion, so great that she would give you her absolute last crumb if needed. Lana left behind words that requested a pauper’s funeral, as she felt she was never important enough to make a fuss over.
Lana, from a very young age could hear a song and by ear, simply sit down at a piano and play it. Though her talent did not stop there, she had a beautiful singing voice as well. She was the baby of her siblings who believed in her for more than she ever did in herself because she never wanted to be mistaken as being haughty or uncaring. She had a huge love for all animals, especially cats. She could not nor would not leave an animal to fend for itself.
Lana left behind one daughter, Erika Olivares and husband Michael; two grandsons, Gabriel Graham and Elliot Olivares; one granddaughter, Piper Olivares. She is also survived by her mother, Loy Dell Allison; sisters, Lisa McEntyre, Laura Williams and husband Mike; brother, Lance Allison and wife Patty. She had many nieces and nephews of the first generation and 2nd as well that loved her deeply, too many to name.
She was preceded in death by her daddy, Robert Allison; brothers-in-law, W. Chad McEntyre and Rickey Braswell; grandparents and too many aunts and uncles to list.
She will be missed immensely.
