The Paris Community Theatre’s newest production, Inherit The Wind is set to be performed in The Lamar County Courthouse.

The historic Lamar County Courthouse and District Courtroom are perfect venues for the performance of this very intense legal drama depicting an actual, hard-fought, jury trial concerning a hotly debated social issue of our day.

“This play has been performed in the Red River County Courthouse, as well as, other Courthouses around the nation,” said Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville.

Inherit the Wind is an American play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, which debuted in 1955.

The Paris Community Theatre is the longest continually running community theatre in Texas.

“We are lucky to have them in our community and the play is certainly going to be a very exciting event,” added Superville.

The play is being directed by a local attorney, Ms. Sydney Young.

Performances will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, on April 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

Tickets can be purchased from The Paris Community Theatre at 903-784-4195.
