Last Tuesday, First Christian Church demonstrated again that Kindness Builds Bridges.

The church met with Boy’s and Girl’s Club of the Red River Valley staff at the church to give them 46 chairs to use for their expanded programs and attendance in addition to their new Teen Center which was funded by the recent Oak Ridge Boys Concert a few weeks ago.

“We were able to give them these chairs because we were able to order new ones due to the generosity we received from donations from Caroline Coston Memorial Fund and Jane Helberg,” said First Christian Church Outreach Chairman Ronnie Nutt.

An auction item donated by Dale Hansen was also bought by each of the following individuals making $100 donations to First Christian Church; Bill Gant, Tommy Whitten, Dick Amis, Murray Fasken, Greg Wilson, Dr. Mark Gibbs, Jay Guest, Troy Scholl, and Josh Bray.

“Donation were also received from our members and others including Glenn and Matt Bawcum, Judy Bawcum, Geraldine Clifford, Karen Rheudisil and proceeds from the upcoming Holiday Dinner Theatre featuring Nashville recording artist Chris Golden.”

We plan to give additional chairs to the Paris Boy’s and Girl’s Club once our new replacement chairs for the White Fellowship Hall arrive.
