The United Way of Lamar County’s Annual Breakfast Meeting will be Wednesday, August 21st at 9am at the Love Civic Center. The breakfast will be catered by Hole in the Wall.
The Annual Breakfast Meeting recognizes last fall’s Outstanding Workplace Campaigns and the Campaign Volunteers, as well as announcing this year’s Volunteer of the Year and awarding the Lifetime Community Service Leadership Award.
This year’s recipient of the Lifetime Community Service Leadership Award is Kenneth Webb. Mr. Webb has been the Director of Student Life at Paris Junior College for over 35 years. In addition to being a past Board President of the United Way of Lamar County’s Board of Directors, he also served as Campaign Chair and has run the United Way Campaign at PJC for years. Mr. Webb has also served on many of the United Way of Lamar County’s partner agencies board of directors including the Boys and Girls Club, Children’s Advocacy Center, CASA for Kids, and Paris/Lamar County Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he has been involved with the Love Civic Center Board, Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, and the Breakfast Optimist Club.
