It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Kem May Subias on Sunday, June 28th, 2026.
Born to Patricia Lee Hill Stark and Kenneth Delbert Stark on September 9th, 1966, in Eugene, Oregon. Kem was the youngest of three daughters.
Those who knew Kem will remember that she cared more for others than she did for herself. She was known for her intelligence, infectious laugh, and sarcastic sense of humor. She loved reading and expressing her creativity through handmade cards and crafts. She especially loved decorating for Christmas, collecting unique teapots, and spending time with her dogs, who she adored. She loved shrimp in just about any form and never turned down a See’s butterscotch square.
Kem is survived by her husband of 37 years, Vincent Subias; her children Brittany Rosa Subias and Vincent Nickolas Subias; her sisters Tamie Smith and Dede Ambrose; her aunt Rennie Myers; her cousins, Chrissy Underhill, Lorena “Peaches” Myers, and Jamie Pimentel; her nephews Ethan Ambrose and Trevor Ambrose; and her nieces Kaylee Smith and Shaylah McVay.
In keeping with Kem’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no public services will be held.
