Keep Paris Beautiful (KPB) is honored to announce the election of two new Board Members who joined the Board in January and will serve three-year terms. These two new Board Members are Neeley Armstrong, and Samantha “Sam” Tyson.
Additionally, current Board member and former Vice-Chair W. Chance Abbott will take over as Board Chair, and Mark Homer will continue in his role as Treasurer.
Neeley Armstrong is an educational diagnostician for Paris ISD. A Paris native, she’s the daughter of Don and Cindy Morrell. She and her husband Erik had been living in Rockwall, and in 2022 moved back to Paris with their three children. Rockwall had a robust recycling program which Neeley participated in, so she brings this unique experience to the KPB team as it explores new recycling services for Paris and Lamar County. Neeley’s also committed to creating a beautiful community where her children can grow up, and Keep Paris Beautiful is excited to have her enthusiasm on our Board.
Samantha “Sam” Tyson is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M University), receiving a Master of Science in Accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2024, and has been with McClanahan and Holmes, LLP for the past six years specializing in auditing and tax services. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, cheering them on in their many activities. Sam is excited to bring her professional expertise and community-minded spirit to the KPB Board. She looks forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of KPB, and the KPB team is thrilled for the ways she’ll positively impact our team.
Ms. Armstrong and Ms. Tyson join current KPB Board Members W. Chance Abbott (Chair), Mark Homer (Treasurer), Martha Howison (Past Chair), Ruth Ann Alsobrook, Cate Smith, Wayne Clement, Kevin Kuebler, Farshad Garmsiri, Brandon McGraw, and Markita Neal.
“Keep Paris Beautiful is thrilled to have these outstanding individuals join our Board and Officer corps” said KPB Executive Director Julia Trigg Crawford. “The combination of talents assembled on the KPB Board will make 2026 another exciting year for our organization and community”.
