A 15-year-old boy connected to the shooting that happened in the 1700 block of Hubbard Street on May 19 is in custody.
At about 4:45 p.m. on May 23, Paris police arrested the 15-year-old, charging the juvenile with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 11:10 a.m. on May 19, Paris police officers responded to the 1700 block of Hubbard Street, where an 18-year-old man was found lying in the roadway, having been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
At the time, witnesses reported two black men running from the scene just after the shooting. Paris Police Chief Richard Salter said the other suspect was apprehended that evening.
The juvenile was booked and transported to a juvenile detention center, and the investigation is still under investigation.
