Justiss Elementary School students once again demonstrated the power of kindness and service through their 2025–2026 Student Council Comfort and Care Drive. Thanks to the generosity of students, families, and staff, the drive resulted in an impressive collection of much-needed items to support local assisted living facilities.
In total, the Justiss Elementary community donated 229 blankets, 196 pairs of socks, 22 pairs of slippers and slipper socks, 23 bottles of lotion, 52 boxes of tissues, and 48 tubes of chapstick. These items will be distributed to residents at The Plaza, Heritage House, and Stillhouse assisted living facilities, helping provide comfort during the winter months.
Student Council Sponsor Lisa Brandenburgh praised the school community for stepping up once again to meet a need. “When a need is there, our students always find a way to fill it,” she said. “This drive truly reflects the heart of Justiss Elementary.”
The Justiss Elementary Student Council members and sponsors extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the drive and helped make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Through service projects like the Comfort and Care Drive, Justiss Elementary continues to show that it is not only a place of learning, but also a place of compassion.
