She was the youngest of three daughters born to Earl and Margaret Crawford of Blossom, Texas. Julia, known by everyone as “Judy”, attended Blossom High School, graduating in 1963. Continuing her education at Paris Junior College, she was president of Phi Theta Kappa, as well as president of the Student Council, a Paris Junior College cheerleader, awarded the distinguished service award, and then graduated in 1966. She married Paul Landers on September 9, 1966 and they were truly blessed with two sons, Jason Paul, and Jon David whom she adored.
She entered the real estate business in 1975 in Paris, and later opened her own real estate business, Parisian Properties, in 1985, with Ernestine Prater, Joyce Krogman, and Mary Kay Brown joining the enterprise in 1986. After leaving her real estate business in 1989 due to health reasons and having always had a love of art, Judy began attending art classes, taught by well known artist, Gary Jenkins. Becoming quite the artist with her pen and ink drawings, her husband’s favorites of her works of art, she continued her drawings and paintings for several years. Paul often thought of her as an “architect without a degree” as she was quite talented with her house plan designs of the many houses she and Paul built, displaying additional talent in decorating them. She was also well known for her delicious cooking.
Judy dearly loved and adored her three grandsons and three granddaughters, always planning fun parties and special trips for them. She recently enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports and cheering them on. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Margaret Crawford; niece and nephew, Juli Hamman and Mark Hamman; son, Jason Landers; sisters, Billie
Crawford Hamman and Sandra Crawford Graves; brother- in-laws, John Henry Graves and Christy Hamman; and grandson, Stephen Paul Landers. Judy is survived by husband, Paul Landers, son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Shelley Landers, grandsons, Adam Landers and Jon Ryan Landers, her daughter-in- law, Cathie Landers, triplet granddaughters, Mary, Julie, and Amy Landers; nephew, Phil Graves and family, nieces, Mandy Graves and family, and Amy Wallace and family.
