Jordan Vaughan Trent Edwards, 33, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on January 26, 1993, in Dallas, Texas, and was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him. Jordan was known for his contagious laugh and good heart, always bringing warmth and joy to those around him.
Jordan is survived by his son, Jordan Vaughan Edwards, Jr. “JJ”, who meant the world to him, his mother, Krista Ward and partner Jason Dove; his fathers, Foy Smith and wife Susanne Smith, and Jason Edwards and wife Michelle Edwards; his grandparents, Belinda and Dennis Boswell and Victoria Virnelson; his sisters, Paige Unger and husband Henry Unger and their son Gunner Unger, and Emily Fields and husband Garrett Fields and their daughter Blair Ann Fields; an aunt, Amanda Shaw. He also leaves behind many cousins, uncles, aunts, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by Tillie Ward, Mary Ann Cundiff, Kelly Bateman, Gloria Michael, Kelly Chacon, Linda Kirby, Raymond Lynn Ward and Tiffany Leeann Edwards.
Jordan will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the memories shared with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m.
