Johnny Lee Lick, passed away peacefully on July 25th , 2025, in Slabtown Texas. Born on October 27th , 1947, in Hugo Oklahoma to Rev. Jim and Mary Lick. Johnny then met the love of his life Maudie Smith, whom he adored very much. Johnny and Maudie married April 14th , 1966, Johnny’s life was one worth paying attention to. The way he worked hard and loved even harder was what made this man one of a kind. He worked and lived in Corsicana, Texas for many years. If you needed Johnny, he was always there willing to lend a hand. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t do. Johnny was an extremely selfless man who always thought of others first. In his retirement from his construction and asphalt career, he moved to Slabtown Texas to live closer to his family. Out of all the many hobbies he had, the one he enjoyed the most was spoiling his grandkids. He loved his family with all his heart, and he made sure they never forgot it. When Johnny was not with grandkids and family, he loved to golf and hunt. Johnny was a man of true faith in the Lord. He was a member of Highway Full Gospel Church and served on the board for many years. This legacy he left behind is one that will be cherished in the hearts of everyone who knew him. To have known Johnny was to love him!
