Jean Ogden, age 91, of Paris, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born on July 26, 1934, in Harrison, Arkansas to Silas and Mary Graham. On June 26, 1953, she married the love of her life, Ernie Ogden, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
Jean was a devoted Christian whose love for the Lord was the foundation of her life. You could often find Jean reading through Psalms, which was her favorite. Her faith was evident in the way she lived—marked by kindness, quiet strength, and a deep compassion for others. She touched countless lives through her gentle spirit and unwavering belief.
Professionally, Jean was a dedicated and accomplished real estate broker. Through determination and integrity, she built a respected career and earned numerous recognitions as a top salesperson. Being named Realtor of the Year was a testament not only to her success but to the admiration she earned from colleagues and clients alike.
At home, Jean created a place of warmth and comfort. She was an exceptional cook whose meals brought family together and turned ordinary days into cherished memories. She took pride in keeping a beautiful and orderly home, reflecting her strong sense of care, discipline, and love for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Mary Graham; her beloved husband, Ernie Ogden; and her siblings, L.V. Graham, Merle Shackelford, Dortha Ransom, Jim Graham, Fama Gonigan, and Betty Kilmer.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Newman of Hopewell and Becky Owens and Jay of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Houston Newman and wife Kayley, Mallory Mayfield, Hielly Callaway and husband David, and Jake Owens and wife Sarah; and her great-grandchildren, Gavin Upchurch, Mason and Rylee Callaway, and Grizzly Newman. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Jean will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her loving and generous spirit, and her tireless work ethic. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery’s Open Air Chapel on Monday, March 30th at 11:00 AM
