Hazel Louella Doyal, 92, of Paris, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Paris Regional Health.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22nd at Union Grove Cemetery with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Doyal, the daughter of Richard Elbert Morgan & Essie Matthews Morgan, was born April 21, 1931, in Oklahoma.
She worked a number of years at Nahas before beginning a career with the Paris Independent School District in Food Services. She enjoyed her work at the school cafeteria very much because of her love for children.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Douglas Doyal on Feb. 28, 1999, her parents, Richard Elbert & Essie Morgan, a son-in-law, David Roden, a daughter-in-law, Peggy Rodgers, a great grandson, Benjamin Daughtrey, a great granddaughter, Sharry Stowell, and three sisters, Dorothy Birlew, Cora Lee Morgan, and Helen White.
Survivors include three children, Melinda Roden, Alice Sterling (Carles), and Richard Rodgers (Nita), 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Cunningham and Bobbie Farris along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Honorary casket bearers will be: Justin Rodgers, R. D. Rodgers, Bradlee Rodgers, Steve Phillips, and Travis Looney.
