A Grayson County Sheriff’s Office investigator with 20 years of experience with GCSO collapsed and died after an altercation in Sherman early Wednesday night.
At about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office investigators conducted a traffic stop near Park Place and McGee Street in Sherman.
After a short foot pursuit and physical altercation, investigators apprehended the suspect.
After the altercation, one of our investigators collapsed and died. This investigator has over 20 years experience with GCSO and will be greatly missed by the GCSO and the entire law enforcement community.
“Tonight, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office lost a great man, one who served our county honestly with integrity and pride,” said Grayson County Sheriff Tom Wyatt. “We ask for your thoughts and prayers during this time as family, both blood and blue, try to process tonight’s events.”
