You may have been worried about the latest news of distancing yourself from others, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But one local Pastor has come up with a fun way to go “old school” so locals can still get out and attend church services.
“A stage will be set up in the parking lot, and families will remain in their cars without having to come in contact with others,” said Breakthrough Church Pastor Gordon Barnes (Pastor B). “The service will be live and the same format as if we were meeting indoors,”
Just when you thought the concept of drive-ins were firmly cemented into the history books, Pastor B says that this will not only allow locals to enjoy a service but will offer them a chance to get out of the house in a safe manner and worship with their family.
“We have cleared this with the authorities and believe this will allow us to honor our President’s request, provide safety for those who attend, and allow us to have a corporate worship experience,” said Pastor B.
The services will play through an 97.3FM radio frequency with the help of 1st Street Media and will take place at 10:45 a.m. this Sunday, at 1225 NW Loop 286.
“This is only a temporary arrangement. So come and join us this Sunday for a unique experience,” he said.
