Geraldine Duncan, 92 of Paris, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

Funeral services have been set for Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

She was born on September 27, 1925, in Chicota, Texas to Odis and Jewel Gentry Slagle. Geraldine married Donald Duncan in Hugo, Oklahoma on May 24, 1945. She loved to cook holiday family meals and was known for her fried chicken. She had a natural sense of humor, and with her outgoing and friendly personality never met a stranger. Geraldine dearly loved all her family and had a special gift for making each one feel as if they were the most important.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Cooper and husband Troy of Blossom, Winford Duncan and wife Debbie of Powderly, Janice Coco and husband Mike of Paris; grandchildren, Joey Partridge, Kevin Duncan, Michelle Womack, Derek Chaney, Alyssa Chaney and Cody Duncan; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola Bell Horton and Minnieyon Hensley; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald W. Duncan; parents, Odis and Jewel Slagle; brother, Jack “Bubba” Slagle; sister, Joyce Vanderburg.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Pine Tree Ranch and it’s staff for the love, care and compassion they showed to Geraldine over the last seven years.
