Lamar County Texas Game Warden Bryan Callihan is reaching out to the public to help gain leads, and a possible conviction over an illegal duck kill on Mon. June 1.
“It is not duck season, and we are hoping someone from the public saw what happened and will come forward with information,” said Callihan.
Callihan advised that the whistling duck was shot on the Deport Elementary School grounds and was called in by a member of the public.
“We are hoping that someone was in the area at the time and can at least provide a vehicle description, or person(s) involved. Any information is important so we can follow a lead and hopefully find the responsible party,” he added.
By Texas Law, there is a reward of $1,000 for information leading to an arrest or conviction of the person(s) involved.
