Five members of the East Texas A&M University soccer team have been named to the Southland Conference All-Academic teams on Monday afternoon.
The five Lion honorees are Trinity Egerton (Garland – Rowlett), Payton Joost (Wylie), Kelsey Lefever (Princeton), Kristen Sueltz (The Colony), and Malaya Ring (Dana Point, Calif.).
To be eligible for the Southland All-Academic team, each nominee must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); completed at least ONE full semester at the nominating institution during the season in which the nomination occurs; and participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s meets in the position listed on this form during the most recently completed season.
Egerton was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, while also earning Dean’s List honors and the Southland Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She is a marketing and market analytics major.
Joost is also a marketing and market analytics major and has been named to the Dean’s List and SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll during her collegiate career.
Lefever is a member of the East Texas A&M Honor’s College, majoring in industrial engineering. She is also a Dean’s List recipient.
Sueltz played every minute for the Lions last season, while also being selected to the CSC Academic All-District team. She is a public health major and was also named to the Dean’s List recipient and the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Sueltz is also a member of the Honor’s College at East Texas A&M.
Ring was named to second team all-conference following the 2025 season. She is a business administration major and was named to the Dean’s List as well as the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
