Learning got hands-on and a little sticky in Mrs. Freilinger’s 1st grade class at Higgins Elementary as students explored 3D shapes using an engaging STEM activity involving toothpicks and marshmallows.
As part of their math unit, students constructed various three-dimensional shapes such as cubes, pyramids, and prisms.
The activity allowed students to visualize and understand the properties of 3D shapes in a fun and creative way.
