PARIS, TEXAS – The Texas May Uniform Election Date for 2026 will occur on Saturday, May 2. The candidate filing period for Paris City Council districts one, two, three and six will open on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and all applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Candidate application and campaign treasurer declaration forms as well as qualifications for council members, are available at www.ParisTexas.gov/Council or from the Office of the City Clerk at 150 SE 1st Street.
Completed applications must be returned to the City Clerk’s Office or mailed to P.O. Box 9037, Paris, TX 75461.
