Family Fun Center reopens doors after remodel, facility under new ownership

The doors to the recently remodeled Family Fun Center, formerly Skate Zone, will open this afternoon with a huge grand re-opening event.

“We’re very excited about re-opening the entire complex and being able to once again offer families in Lamar County a family-friendly place to make memories,” said owner Skyler Burchinal. 

The entire complex has been re-painted, there is a new waterfall system in the mini golf area, new putters, updated batting equipment and more.

“We’ll also be giving away skate, putt-putt and batting cage passes, a one-month free skating pass and a gift certificate for half off any birthday package.” 

Doors will open at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 5th till 10 p.m. 

(Normal public entrance hours are Friday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. -10 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.- 5 p.m.)

Prices are $8 for skates or $10 for blades, Miniature Golf will be $8, and Batting Cages are $6 a token (20 pitches). *wrist bands are valid for 2hrs

In addition to the grand re-opening, the Family Fun Center has opened registration for their summer program, ‘Epic Fun Academy’starting May.

“Children ages 5 – 12 will be able to enjoy skating, putt-putt, go-karts, batting cages, and arcade games all summer long.”

“Our main goal is to offer a safe, family-friendly fun park to everyone in Lamar County and surrounding areas,” said Burchinal. “We will be open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and will always have security on-site to keep everyone safe.”
