Excel Christian Academy had already won two in a row, and went ahead to make it three on Saturday, blowing past the Mercy Prep Academy Royals 3-0.
That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-20. Excel Christian Academy’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances.
One of the most notable came from Addison Russell, who had four aces and 12 assists.
Russell is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she’s now served two or more in the last three games she’s played.
Paydan Handlin has lead the season with a total of 46 kills. Maleia Wlodarczak had 26 receptions.
Excel Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces.
That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now served at least 14 aces in three consecutive games.
Excel Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
The team will now play host again on Tuesday to welcome Harvest Time Christian Academy, which is scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
