The second and third-grade students at Everett Elementary raised over $12,000 in the Skip, Jump and Run fundraiser. The annual event, sponsored by the physical education department, benefits the PE program and the Everett Children’s Fund that helps students throughout the year with needs such as shoes, clothes, medications, eye exams, glasses and other personal needs.
The top three students who raised the most money received prizes. The first place winner was Addy Michael who won a hoverboard. Jackson Winston won second place and received a bicycle and helmet. Easton Brown won the third place prize of roller blades and protective gear. Additionally, 85 students who raised $100 or more and will go on a trip to the Dallas Zoo.
