Second graders at Everett Elementary School have embraced the spirit of giving this holiday season.
These young philanthropists embarked on a mission to spread joy to residents at a local nursing home, Heritage House, through a thoughtful donation drive.
The students rallied together, collecting an assortment of items aimed at brightening the days of the elderly residents.
Calendars, lotions, engaging word puzzles, festive Christmas treats, and cozy fuzzy socks were among the items generously donated by these young givers.
The initiative not only teaches the importance of empathy and community support but also provides a tangible connection between the generations.
As the holiday season unfolds, the 2nd graders’ efforts serve as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact on the well-being of others.
Heritage House of Paris looks forward to handing out these gifts at their upcoming holiday party, creating moments of joy and warmth for its residents during the festive season
