Members of the Paris Elks Lodge #2433 showed again their faithful service to the community by making a $2,000 donation to Downtown Food Pantry.
Exalted ruler Don Shelton said the Elks is a giving group of members who support numerous charitable organizations and causes plus awards scholarships every year.
Pantry director Allan Hubbard said the recent donation will provide groceries to make 6,000 meals for those in need in Lamar County.
“We appreciate Elks members thinking of the people who need food here in our county and helping us feed people,” Hubbard said. “Their generosity will go a long way.”
