Elaine Saufferer, 85, of Paris, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at Heritage House of Paris in Paris, TX.
A visitation is scheduled from 3 – 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 nd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Meadow Ridge Memorial Cemetery in Faribault, Minnesota.
Elaine Katherine Saufferer was born to George R. Anderson and Ellen L. Gustafson Anderson, on Feb. 3, 1939, in Rice County, Minnesota. She graduated from Faribault High School, Faribault, MN. She married Wilbur Saufferer on June 20, 1959. They were charter members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Faribault. They farmed together for many years in Minnesota before relocating their farming operation to Paris, Texas in 1980. She went back to school and earned her Texas Real Estate License. She worked for Century 21 Executive Realty before retiring to Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
She is survived by two sons: Keith Saufferer and wife Karen of Reno, Texas and Todd Saufferer and wife Shelley of St. Charles, Missouri. Also, two granddaughters, Whitney and Courtney Hopper, grandson, Charley Ball Fuller and two great grandsons, Elijah Evans and Zion Villines. Other surviving family members include a sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson of Faribault, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Saufferer, sister, Yvonne Janousek and husband Roy Janousek, brother, Leon Anderson, sister-in-law, Marguerite and husband Robert Mahoney, brother-in-law, Warren Saufferer and wife Audrey.
