Dola Farris Roach, 86, of Paris, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Pine Tree Assisted Living.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23rd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. Private burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Roach, the daughter of Wallace Farris and Luttie Smith Farris, was born July 30, 1938, in Lamar County, TX.
Dola’s career with Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting spanned 40 years before her retirement. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff at Pine Tree Assisted Living and Platinum Home Health and Hospice for the care given to their loved one. On July 18, 1959, she married Scott P. Roach, building 55 years of memories before his death on March 21, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Thelma Smith, Dorothy Melton, Travis Farris, and James Farris.
Survivors include her very devoted sister, Wilma Claypool, five nieces, Debbie McMikel, Sheryl Watson, Amy Anderson, Nikki Bove, and Lee Ann Farris. One nephew, Mark Farris, a very special great nephew, Rylee Anderson, along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Casket bearers will be: Mark Farris, Jason Thomas, Alex Thomas, Rylee Anderson, and Kevin Anderson. Brian Bove will serve as an honorary bearer.
