David Leroy Evans passed away at his home in Paris, Texas on August 4, 2025. David was a selfless family man and proud Marine.
Before retirement, he worked as a diesel mechanic. He was married to Mary Jo Evans until her passing. David was born on Christmas Eve, 1940 to parents, David and Esther Evans. He fondly remembered his home town of Horton, Michigan and his ashes will be taken back home to rest there.
He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Jo; sister, Viola Stephens and her husband, Eugene; sister, Kathleen Maples and her husband, Warren; sister, Betty Hubbard; step-daughter, Wendy Killian and son-in-law, Kenneth Bedford.
He is survived by daughter, Cheri Bedford; sons, Chad Evans and wife, Tabitha, Jason Evans and wife, Erin, Corey Evans and wife, Debbie; step-son, Richard Nicholls; brother-in-law, Byron Hubbard as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As per his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. His friends and family have celebrated his life while he was still with them to enjoy it.
Fry Gibbs Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation.
