Students from the Crockett Intermediate School National English Honor Society (NEHS) have come together this fall to make a meaningful impact in their community by organizing a Toy Drive as part of their annual service project.
The primary goal of the drive is to collect toys and gifts for local children through the Toys for Tots program, ensuring that every child experiences the joy and excitement of the holiday season. NEHS members were specifically requesting donations of board games, sporting equipment, and toys suitable for children ages 10–17—an age group often overlooked in traditional toy drives.
More than 45 NEHS members volunteered their time throughout the week to organize, collect, and sort donations, demonstrating the group’s strong commitment to service and community involvement. Many of these dedicated students are not pictured in the accompanying photo but played an important role in making the project a success.
All collected items will be distributed through the Toys for Tots program, bringing smiles to children across the community. The Crockett NEHS encourages students, staff, and community members to participate by contributing a new, unwrapped toy. If you would like to donate, you can drop off the donated items at either Crockett Intermediate School or the PISD District office until December 1st.
If you are unable to shop, donations will be accepted at both locations, and the Marines will do the shopping for you. Together, we can make this holiday season brighter for children in need.
