For the first time in Lamar County, the Lamar County Republican Party will be hosting a U.S. Congressional Debate with Republican incumbent Pat Fallon and Democratic opponent Iro Omere on Oct. 17 at the Love Civic Center.
Both candidates will be asked questions on current issues and the event will be moderated by 104.3FM The River News Director, Katie Bartlett.
The event is open to the public with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. and the debate starting at 7:00 p.m.
