Revolution College Group is hosting a college worship night this Saturday starting at 7 p.m. at Cowboy Church in the Camp, 664 County Road 42570 in Paris.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to come together as a community of Christ,” said co-organizer Dillon Moore. “We definitely look forward to see what God has planned.”
Betsy Prado, co-organizer of the College Worship Night, said everyone comes from a different background, and for one night “we’ll be under the one roof, worshipping one Jesus.”
“This is a time where we hope to encourage others, a time to come sing, pray and just let the Lord work,” Prado said. “We hope Worship Night is a blessing to everyone and motivation for those who have talents to be able to use them for His honor and glory.”
Moore said the heart behind the worship night is similar to the college group, Revolution College Group – to give graduating high school students a place to go next.
“People tend to walk away from the Church, away from Christ, right out of high school,” Moore said. “Our goal has always been for them to know ‘hey, you’re not alone.’”
According to Lifeway research in the past couple of years, about two-thirds of American young adults – college-aged students – have dropped out of the church.
“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to come together as a community and worship Jesus together under one roof,” Moore said.
Prado said she hopes everyone who attends feels welcomed.
“It’s more than a blessing to get to lead an event like this with friends,” she said. “But we do not want to keep this blessing to ourselves.”
The College Worship Night, open to everyone and hosted by Revolution College Group, will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday (April 9) at Cowboy Church in the Camp, 664 County Road 42570, just 10 minutes from Wal-Mart.
