The Lamar County Humane Association is hosting a major pet-focused event on Saturday, August 2, 2025, inviting the community to help clear the shelter and reduce pet overpopulation.
“There’s no better time to clear the shelter — help us find every animal a loving home.”
There will be small and large dogs, plus cats and kittens available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3900 Lamar Avenue in Paris.
Adoption fees are only $25 and includes microchip, first round of vaccinations, rabies, dewormer, and spay/neuter.
Additionally, the LCHA will be offering low-cost spay and neutering from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spay and neuter vouchers are open to Lamar County residents only and you must bring proof of residency to purchase vouchers. Limit two vouchers per household.
Vaccine and microchip is open to anyone. Vets may require proof of rabies vaccine tor edeem voucher.
Call vet to verify participation prior to SNIP voucher purchase.
The spay and neuter event will be held at 570 E Center Street in Paris.
