Jay passed from this life to the next on September 27th 2024 at Paris Regional Health surrounded by his loving grandchildren.
Jay was born and raised in a small community called Toad Suck, Arkansas. He served our country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a Marine at heart always. Jay made a name for himself after the military by doing auto repairs and trucking. He traveled all over the country for many years, going by the trucker handle “Toad Suck” in a purple Peterbuilt.
Jay moved to Paris in 2014 to be closer to his family in his retirement. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley. He loved his two dogs Lonely and Dixon greatly.
Jay was preceded in death by his precious wife Lana, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. His survivors include his sister Kris Garrison and her husband Sam of Maryville, Tennessee, two daughters Angela Deloach of Gatesville, Texas and April Heflin of Benton, Arkansas and grandchildren Jacqueline Conner of Paris, Texas, Cameron Deloach and his wife Autumn of Paris, and Abigail Deloach of Paris. He also was blessed with six great-grandchildren during his lifetime: Nathaniel, Jacob, Natalie, Lily, Cameron Jr., and Kanyon.
Jay will always be remembered for going above and beyond to help the ones he loved. He was treasured by his family as well as his neighbors in both the Paris, Texas and Toad Suck, Arkansas communities. His legacy will continue to live on.
