Clarence Merritt Graves, 86 of Detroit, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services have been set for Monday, December 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Chaplain Bryce Jester officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. A private interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
He was born in Woodland, Texas on January 5, 1936 to Olan and Lucille Lunsford Graves. He married Polly Geraldine Graves on July 11, 1956. She preceded him in death. Clarence worked for 37 years at the Texas Highway Department.
He is survived by his children, Shelia Hicks and husband David, Darla Myers, Tony Graves and wife Tina; grandchildren, Terra Darden, Robin Darden, Jared Myers, Sierra O’Neal and husband Dylan, Colton Graves; great-grandchildren, Ari, Anthony, Hudson, Cannon, Rylee and Priscilla; brothers, Thomas Graves and wife Ann; sisters, Glenda Coble, Marthel Turner, Patricia Milam and husband D.J. Milam.
Honorary Pallbearers Colton Graves, Dylan O’Neal, Jared Myers, John Robert, Hudson Burt, Gary Hargan, D.J. Milam and David Hicks.
