Christopher Waldo Dux, 74, of Paris, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2025. Born on March 25, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, Chris lived a life defined by faith, family, and friendship.
Chris proudly served his country in the United States Navy before earning his degree from Belmont Abbey College. He went on to have a distinguished career as a hospital administrator, dedicating his professional life to serving others and improving the lives of those in his community.
A devout Catholic, Chris’s faith guided every aspect of his life. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like family.
Chris had a passion for cooking and delighted in sharing his creations with others—whether it was a home-cooked meal, a fine glass of wine, or a joyful celebration with those he loved most. His warmth, humor, and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Dux; his stepdaughter, Shana Smith of Edmond, Oklahoma; and his children, Anna Dux of Nashville, Tennessee; Michael Dux of Sylva, North Carolina; and Patrick Dux and his wife Christy of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by six cherished grandchildren: Sullivan, Kai, Elizabeth, Henry, Daniel, and Evelyn; and two sisters, Jane duPont and her husband Roger, and Dolores Dux.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dolores Dux, and his brother, Father John Dux.
