The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call on Saturday from a woman north of Swink, OK, that stated her boyfriend had “shot her in the head.”
Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park said upon deputies arrival, the woman was sitting in a pick-up south of their residence and talking.
“EMS transported her to the Swink helipad and she was flown to a Texas hospital with what looked like a minor injury,” said Park.
Park said the boyfriend was interviewed by deputies and it appeared the two were in a “domestic situation” and at some point they both had firearms.
“At some point, he (the boyfriend) struck her in the top of the head with the stock of the shotgun and a report will be sent up to the Assistant District Attorney for review.”
Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Choctaw Nation Tribal Police assisted the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office.
