Carl M. Burge of Cleburne, Texas passed away on September 24, 2024, at Santa Fe Assisted Living, where he had resided for the last ten years. Mr. Burge was formerly of Paris and Lindale, Texas.
Mr. Burge worked for the Dallas Morning News as a machinist as well as serving on the Dallas County Sheriff’s Reserve. Mr. Burge was a gun enthusiast and especially enjoyed single-shot twenty-two competition.
Mr. Burge is survived by his daughters Karla Karber and husband James, Paula Durbin; sister, Catherine Carpenter, grandchildren; C.J. Karber and Kristen Johnson.
Mr. Burge was preceded in death by his parents W.A. and Myrtle Burge.
A graveside service has been set for 2 P.M. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Evergreen Open Air Chapel under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, with Leslie Thomas officiating.
