Brown (Dallas – Carter) is named the women’s track of the athlete. She set the school record in the 300 meter dash last week with a time of 38.04 seconds at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational in College Station. She also was a part of the 4×400 meter relay team that finished fourth in the meet with a time of 3:46.57, which is also the fastest time in the Southland this season.
Kramarenko (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) earned the women’s field athlete of the week honor after winning the high jump event in College Station in a field of six teams that included four Power Four conference teams. She cleared 5-10 (1.78m), which sets a new school record, leads the Southland this season, and is tied for eighth in NCAA Division I thus far this season.
Both student-athletes have earned their first weekly honors of the season, and they are also the first two for the Lions as a team this year. Last season, the Lions earned five weekly honors during the indoor season.
