With warmer weather well and truly here, this time of the year is a great time to get outside with the family and enjoy all our beautiful hometown has to offer.

Pat Mayse Lake, just north of Paris, is a hotspot during the summer months for many locals but have you ever walked or ridden the Barber Hills Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail?

The Barber Hills Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail offer just over 13 miles of trails for the beginner to more experienced mountain bike riders.

With creek crossings, views on Pat Mayse Lake, several uphill climbs and lots of off-road tracks, the Barber Hills Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail is fun for the whole family.

The best way to ride all of the trails: Enter the main Sanders Cove trailhead, go past the skills area and turn left,  follow the white arrows into Dogwood. Follow the white arrows and signs to Barber, Buzzard Hollow, Milkweed, Upper Bedford, Inner Loop, Lower Bedford, Bottom Bracket, Deer Run and Easy Rider. This route will end 25 yards from the skills area.

For more information on the track click here and visit Barber Hills on Facebook.
