Barbara Jane Miller, 81, of Pilot Point, formerly of Paris, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at Cedar Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20th at the Evergreen Chapel with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 – 7 p.m.
Barbara, the daughter of D. C. Merritt and Virgie McDaniel Merritt, was born May 7, 1944, in Roxton, TX. She graduated from Paris High School and began working at Nahas. She then worked at the S&H Green Stamp Store before beginning a career with K-Mart where she retired.
She was an avid bowler, bowling with several leagues. Her favorite time was with the Thursday Night Bowling League, where she not only enjoyed bowling but spending time with dear friends. She and her husband, Charles, spent many hours going to garage sales. This was an enjoyable pastime for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Miller, and her beloved dog, Chewy.
Survivors include two sons, Chuck Miller (Judy) and Nick Miller (Debbie), grandchildren, Laci Miller, Matt Miller, Ozzie Miller, Emily Bagwill, and Erin Beckett-Roger and two sisters, Lucille Beal and Elizabeth Gilbert along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
